The Movielife

The Movielife is a Long Island Melodic hardcore band, composed of vocalist Vinnie Caruana, bassist Phil Navetta, guitarist Brandon Reilly, drummer Evan Baken, and guitarist Alex Amiruddin, until 2001 when Alex Amiruddin left and was replaced by Dan Navetta.
In 1997, The Movielife was formed and soon went from basement shows to supporting its debut album, It's Go Time, which was released on Fadeaway Records. In 2000, This Time Next Year was released by Revelation Records. In 2001, The Movielife signed to Drive-Thru Records, and the Has a Gambling Problem EP was released. While en route to their next show the band wrecked their van in Jamestown, North Dakota. While the accident luckily only caused minor injuries, the mental anguish and already stressed relationships between the band members began to tear. During the recording of the follow-up full length, founding member Alex Amiruddin quit to start Keep Breathing. He was replaced by Dan Navetta, Phil's younger brother. In 2003, Forty Hour Train Back to Penn was released, and The Movielife again set out on tour in support of the effort. On September 27, 2003, a note on the band's website revealed that The Movielife had decided to break up.

Four Year Strong

Four Year Strong are an American pop punk band from Worcester, Massachusetts, formed in 2001. The group consists of vocalists and guitarists Dan O'Connor and Alan Day, bassist Joe Weiss, and drummer Jackson Massucco. They have released four studio albums with the latest, Enemy of the World, released on March 9, 2010.The band's 2007 release Rise or Die Trying with I Surrender Records peaked at number 31 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart in its debut week.On the back of their increasing popularity, the band was signed to Decaydance Records in February 2008.
On July 21, 2009, Four Year Strong released an album of covers from the 1990s, titled Explains It All. The album features guest appearances from Keith Buckley of Every Time I Die, Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, and JR and Buddy of Less Than Jake.The band explained their reasoning behind the album in a MySpace blog, saying "It’s what we grew up listening to.

Set Your Goals is an American punk band from the San Francisco Bay Area, formed in 2004. Their musical style typically imploys a combination of pop punk and melodic hardcore.Their band name is derived from the CIV album of the same name.
The band consists of vocalists Matt Wilson and Jordan Brown, guitarists Audelio Flores Jr and Daniel Coddaire, bassist Joe Saucedo and drummer Michael Ambrose.Forming in 2004, Set Your Goals released their first self-titled EP through Straight on Records in May 2004. The band embarked on some of their first tours with The Warriors and Make Move, Audelio Flores was playing bass for them at the time, as the word circulated about the EP they were approached by a number of labels. After "touring off of that alone for almost 2 years", they signed with Eulogy Recordings and re-released the EP under the name Reset in April 2006. Audelio Flores joined the band on April 2006.

Miles Away

Miles Away is an Australian hardcore punk band from Perth, Western Australia, formed in 2002.Miles Away was formed in mid 2002 by Cam Jose and Adam Crowe who had a bunch of songs they wanted to use for an old school hardcore band. They then drafted in Chris Unsworth, the drummer from Adam’s other band Alleged and Perth stalwart/enigma Dion, formerly of Boredumb and From The Ruins to take care of bass duties. Nick Horsnell joined up on vocals in late 2002 to complete the puzzle. At this time the band was going under the name Burning Bridges, until they found a US band with the same name. With each of the members big fans of the mid to late 90’s positive old school hardcore comeback (ie. Floorpunch, Ten Yard Fight, In My Eyes, Reach The Sky, Fastbreak etc) the aim was to create a band that kids could stagedive and fingerpoint to, whilst also fusing in elements of new school hardcore.

Alexisonfire

Alexisonfire (pronounced "Alexis on Fire") is a five-piece, Juno-nominated post-hardcore band that formed in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada in 2001. The band consists of George Pettit (vocals), Dallas Green (guitar, piano, vocals), Wade MacNeil (guitar, vocals), Chris Steele (bass), and Jordan Hastings (drums).
They describe their music as "the sound of two Catholic high-school girls in mid-knife-fight" (a reference to their song "A Dagger Through the Heart of St. Angeles", also the inspiration for their debut album cover art). When the band came out of the underground like an "utterly captivating car-accident-in-progress" in late 2001, it was enough to impress critics and attain a gold certification for their self-titled debut album.

The band has released three more very successful studio albums: Watch Out! in 2004, Crisis in 2006, both which have achieved platinum certification in Canada and Old Crows/Young Cardinals in 2009.
Alexisonfire were formed in late 2001 as the result of a three-band break up. Pettit was playing bass in a tech-metal band called Condemning Salemn, Green was a lead singer and guitar player in Helicon Blue,

is an American pop punk band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that began in June of 2005. Since then, they have released 2 full length albums, 2 EPs, and several splits/compilation contributions. The band is currently signed to Hopeless Records.The Wonder Years were born in 2005 out of the remnants of an old Lansdale, PA band called The Premier. The Premier consisted of Soupy, Jaron, Matt, Nick, and Dave. Dave was the only member of The Premier that didn't join The Wonder Years.

Hiretsukan

Hiretsukan (from the Japanese word 卑劣漢 meaning "vicious man" or "despicable person")is a New York-based band that formed in 1998 just outside of Washington, D.C. In the following years, they recorded their "Brown Bag" demo, and went out on a few small tours. After a few volatile years which saw several collective moves and incarnations, the group solidified its line-up and relocated to New York City.
The current line-up includes Michelle Proffit (vocals), Dave Sanders (guitar, backing vocals), Derek Wimble (bass), and Justin Williams (drums). The band performs an interesting form of hardcore punk, incorporating melodic indie rock style riffs, often in 6/8 time. Michelle Proffit's vocal style is very intense, mostly consisting of screaming and screeching her lyrics. It adds a definite sense of intensity to the music. Her lyrical style is heavily political, leaning hard towards the left-wing side of the political scale.

Bigwig

Bigwig is a hardcore punk band from New Jersey, formed in 1995. They were originally composed of Josh Farrell (guitar), John Castaldo (bass), Tom Petta (guitar/vocals), and Dan Rominski (drums). Since their inception, they have been steadily gaining popularity, having played / toured with such bands as Pennywise, Less Than Jake, Blink-182, The Ataris, The Vandals, New Found Glory, No Use for a Name, NOFX, The Suicide Machines, Agnostic Front, Lagwagon, and Reel Big Fish. Following the release of their 2001 album Invitation To Tragedy, injuries and lineup changes caused the band to take a five-year hiatus.

All or Nothing

All or Nothing is a British pop punk/hardcore band formed in 2002 and is based in Birmingham, England. The band consists of Tom Chong (vocals and bass), Rich Murphy (vocals and guitar), Paul Foster (vocals and guitar) and Nick Reynolds (drums and vocals).
All or Nothing has so far released one full-length album, and three EPs. Their debut release, Who Got Shot?, was released in 2005, with tracks such as "Analogies and Metaphors" and "0121 Whipped". With this album, and their lively and confident live shows, All or Nothing began to leave a mark on the UK skate punk scene. Their 2006 follow-up album, Dead Money, was self released and was limited to 100 copies. The real breakthrough was in 2007 when their second EP, Is Pretty Hot Right Now, was signed by Zone 6 Records in the UK and Inya Face Records in Japan, along with the likes of The Vandals, Alkaline Trio, and Set Your Goals.
